Where does the Spain EV registration data come from?

Direct from primary Spanish government registration data. The specific source detail and methodology document is shared with subscribers under NDA.

Why is Spain's history longer than other European markets?

The underlying source has published monthly registration data with electric-vehicle classification fields back further than most other European registries. The depth of history is a function of the source's transparency.

Does EV Atlas count used EV imports in Spain?

No — by default we exclude used and re-registered vehicles because they distort new-EV market signals. A diagnostic flag in the pipeline lets us include used registrations for specific reconciliation tasks.

Are light commercial vehicles included for Spain?

Yes. The Spain dataset covers passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, with a vehicle_class column so you can filter.
